South West London Patient and Public Engagement Network
Our patient and public engagement professionals from across south west London meet on a monthly basis to: discuss and advise on shared engagement work and challenges; progress professional development and offer peer support. We have been meeting since August 2018 and discussed, reviewed and refined a number of engagement activities – drawing from local learning and practise.
Key Recent Work
South West London CCG Communications and Engagement Strategy
Over the summer, the group reviewed the draft SWL CCG communications and engagement strategy and together we co-designed the underpinning principles for engagement.
Involving Children and Young People
The group discussed our approaches to engaging with children and young people across south west London. Expectations differed by borough and by partner (NHS or LA). It was agreed that given this was a partnership piece of work it would benefit from a consistent approach. The group were instrumental in reviewing and refining a framework for engaging with children and young people across south west London. This framework has now been adopted by all partners (including local schools) and has provided the foundation to some excellent collaborative engagement work.
