Join in and say “Thank you”…72 years of the NHS! Toolkit

2020 has been the most challenging year in NHS history.  Over the last few months the NHS has stepped up in ways never seen before to work out how to deliver services differently following lockdown, recruit tens of thousands more staff, returners and volunteers and even build hospitals to respond to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

We would therefore like to take this moment, the NHS 72nd anniversary, to say Thank You to everyone who has helped us over the past six months to help respond to this global pandemic in south west London.

It is also the anniversary of the social care system which was created at the same time in 1948 and an opportunity to celebrate the work of our partners in social care and those we have been working with throughout the pandemic.

Amidst these moments of thanks and the positives that have come to light, it is important that the human toll of COVID-19 is not forgotten or lost. Therefore, it is important that we build a moment of true remembrance and reflection the lives of those we have lost to this devastating virus.

We would appreciate your support sharing the messages with your networks and helping us to gather thank you messages from staff/public etc. who would like to share their thanks for those who have made a difference in their community. Please ensure all external posts use the hashtag #SWLThankYouTogether.
