This event aims to increase your understanding of the Nursing Associate role;
- How Nursing Associates contribute to high quality nursing care delivery in non-acute settings
- The requirements for training and supervising trainee Nursing Associates
- How the role can be funded through the apprenticeship levy process
- How to complete functional skills tests and applications forms for the role

Health Education England Pan-London Apprenticeship meeting (via HEE invitation)
We are pleased to invite you to register for the next AHP Apprenticeships meeting.
This will follow on from the last meeting in September where we discussed the pan-London picture of AHP programmes and apprenticeships plans/developments by STP area (previous agenda attached). Please forward this to Apprenticeship/AHP Leads or the most relevant person in your organisation (if not yourself).

New role in Nursing: Nursing Associates in primary, social, hospice and community care
The south east London TNA task and finish group are running 3 workshops (one event, replicated on 3 dates to support attendance) to support an increased understanding of the Nursing Associate role in out of hospital environments.
Attendees from primary, social, hospice and community care are welcome.
Date: 7th November
Venue: Community Hub Room, Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, 185 Bostall Hill, Abbey Wood, London. SE2 0GB
Who should attend:
- Employers from across the SEL health and care system interested in Nursing Associates roles in teams
- Staff employed in healthcare assistant, support worker or equivalent roles interested in career progression and / or a route to becoming a registered nurse
- Nurses and nurse leads across the system interested in expanding the skill mix in nursing teams.
Workshop objectives:
- To understand how Nursing Associates (NA) contribute to high quality nursing care delivery in non-acute settings
- To know the requirements for training and supervising trainee Nursing Associates
- To hear the experiences of employing Trainee NA and supporting qualified NAs and team career development.
Please note:
- More information on how to book, full agenda and venues will follow in the coming weeks
- There are three dates/ locations to choose from
- Whilst the subject line states two borough names, this primarily describes aiming for a venue location to suit two boroughs, interested attendees can go to whichever date/ location suits best
